"The next time you pop into your local salon for a trim, your hair clippings might actually bypass the dumpster and go straight to support the environment. Robert Craig Salon Products, Ltd. through robertcraig.com, recently joined the environmental organization ExcessAccess to help keep hair out of landfills while simultaneously saving marine life from oil spills. Once they join the program, salons can sweep up their usually
discarded hair trimmings and mail them to the nearest Excess Access
participating depot. The hair clippings will be recycled into oil adsorbing hair mats to help clean harbors and protect marine life from oil spills.
