I don't live in the United States. Can I still buy your products?
At this time we are only able to ship within the United States. We are looking into expanding and will post that information on the consumer page if and when we are able to ship elsewhere.

Can I use Color by Robert Craig to return to my natural color without my hair going too dark or turning some strange color?
Yes you can. I would recommend that you choose a color a shade or two lighter than what you want to start out with. A major color change can really be shocking and this will lessen the shock and help prevent any disasters. Please contact us for the proper method and colors to use if you want to go darker than two shades.

Is your product available in drug stores or beauty supplies?
Color by Robert Craig is not available in stores at this time. You can easily purchase Color by Robert Craig right on the web. By using the on-line consultation form we can recommend the best color and haircare for your individual needs. Robert Craig Salon Products are only available through the web site.

How long does it take for me to receive my order?
In most cases you will have your order within 4 to 5 business days. We ship priority mail. If we are out of stock on an item we will hold your shipment until we can ship it all together.

Can I pay by check?
Yes, we can accept checks in our shopping cart or if you would like to mail a check, you can print out the order form instead of sending it through the web and include a check. My highlights fade soon after I have them done in the salon. Can I use Color by Robert Craig to perk them up?
Color by Robert Craig is an excellent choice to do just that. Even if you don't have highlights and just want to perk up your color and condition your hair while adding a really nice shine use a shade that is lighter than your color or your highlights or our new Clear Color.

I color my hair at home and it turns out too orange no matter what I do. What do you suggest?
Color by Robert Craig is an excellent choice to fine tune home haircolor. It is safe to use over color treated hair. Choose the shade closest to the desired end result and remember to do a test strand.

I have my hair relaxed. Can I color with Color by Robert Craig?
Color by Robert Craig is safe to use after having your hair relaxed. We do recommend using a shade or two lighter than what you desire for the first time and do a test strand.

I don't know what kind of water I have and want to purchase a bottle of shampoo. How can I test my water?
You may order our 'No More Bad Hair Days Kit' from the shopping cart and there are a dozen water testers in there.

I swim regularly and am afraid to color my hair because of all the green hair stories I have heard. Can I use Color by Robert Craig?
Color by Robert Craig is very safe to use around pool water. Because the color does not oxidize within the hairshaft your color will not turn ugly shades.

I am allergic to phenylenediamine. Your product has it listed as a sulfate of p-phenylenediamine. (p-Phenylenediamine Sulfate) Would I still be allergic to this product?
You may be allergic to Color by Robert Craig. As a precaution we always recommend doing an allergy test following the directions on the instruction sheet included with the product.

How long does the color last? Does the number of shampoos affect how long the color lasts?
Color by Robert Craig is a permanent haircolor. Left 30 to 45 minutes it will act like any other permanent color with less fading and require touch ups every 4 to 6 weeks. Shampooing will not affect the color as long as you are using a product, like the shampoos on this site, for color treated hair.

I just colored my hair at home and am not happy with the result. How long do I have to wait until I can color using your product?
Color by Robert Craig can be used the same day. We do recommend a test strand but it is safe and gentle enough to use to correct or fine tune previously colored hair.

Can I use your highlighting kit over Color by Robert Craig?
Absolutely. Color by Robert Craig is a great base color and really conditions the hair as it colors. It is safe to do highlights over it. We do recommend doing a test strand just to see how long to leave the highlight formula on the hair but the end result should be very pleasing.

I learned about your hair color and am interested in trying it. However, I find it hard to choose a color on-line since the colors of my screen may not be accurate.
You can adjust the color on your screen and it should be set for True Color (32 bit) and 800X600 pixals for the best color. High Color (16 bit) is o.k. Less than that and the color is not good enough to choose from. You can also email us your full postal address (US residents only) and we will send you a color chart through regular first class mail at no charge.
